Member Stories: John Passed His Yachtmaster Offshore Exam
Stories like this are why we do what we do. One of our members John Powell recently used his Savvy Navvy app during an RYA Yachtmaster Offshore exam. The examiner allowed John to use the app while completing a short night passage,
“In preparation for my Yacht Master practical, Savvy Navvy has been invaluable in assisting with my passage planning, especially when using the night vision mode. I passed the exam, which I can't say was solely down to Savvy Navvy, but it definitely helped, and not just for the night passage.”

Avikus Receives NMMA Innovation Award for NeuBoat Dock II
Congratulations to our friends at Avikus who were awarded the Miami Boat Show Innovation Award in the ‘Consumer Electronics, Mobile Applications and Software category’.
NeuBoat Dock II removes one of the most stressful barriers to boating, docking! 😬
Using autonomous vessel technology the system acts as a docking assistant, providing a 3D bird’s eye view for easy docking using single or multiple camera views to ensure safe and precise manoeuvres during docking in confined spaces.
As you know here at Savvy Navvy we’re all about removing barriers to boating which is why we’re delighted to have partnered with the team at Avikus. Savvy Navvy now provides the base map cartography for the NeuBoat Dock II.
